All you need to do is fill in some basic information to help us understand exactly what you are looking for. We've created a super useful Loan Comparison Calculator tool that allows you to slide between the options you need. We then perform the comparisons through our system and within a few seconds present you with the specific online loan options you want. From here, you choose the loan provider that best suits you and click apply. You will then deal directly with your chosen loan provider.

Your first step when selecting a lender will be to agree with and follow the terms and conditions laid out by that particular lender. We save you time by comparing and presenting you with the most suitable options. Once you select an option, we pass you onto that lender (through you clicking 'apply') for approval and you are then in their hands.

Sure! You can read up on all the different banks (here). You can also compare the different banks in any one of Finchecks sections. Apply at as many as you would like - Once you have clicked apply, you will deal directly with that company.

NO - We will never promote a company. We present true information on all the companies and leave the decision 100% up to you. You decide on who you want to bank or partner with.

An education costs money. Often forward planning is needed in order to save and be able to afford sending your children Primary, Senior School and on top of that gain a tertiary (University) education.

This is a difficult question to answer as it depends on how much money you invest per month and what the School or University fees are.
Is it better to keep money in my current account or a Fixed Deposit? keyboard_arrow_down
Your current account earns less interest than a Fixed Deposit account will. It is therefore generally understood that your money will grow quicker in a Fixed Deposit account.
Can anyone open a Fixed Deposit? keyboard_arrow_down
Most people can. If you are able to meet the initial minimum requirements of the company you are wanting an account with, then you can open the account. Some banks will only allow you to open a Fixed Deposit account if you open the account with a certain amount of money.
When should I start saving for retirement? keyboard_arrow_down
The best time is immediately. The earlier you start saving for retirement the richer you will retire. The 8th wonder of the world is compound interest. What this means is the more money you have in your account - the more interest you earn.
Start saving and investing for retirement as soon as you possibly can.
A bit about Tax Free Savings? keyboard_arrow_down
A tax free savings account allows you to save and 'store' that money with out having to pay tax. The limitations of this account is that you can only invest a maximum of R30,000 per year and up to a maximum of R500,000 in total.
BUT if you invest the full R500,000 over 16 years - all the interest you earn on that investment will be tax free. Compound interest can work really well for you here.

You will be required to repay your loan in monthly instalments. The monthly instalments will include interest and a monthly service fee. Also, remember that every loan has an initiation fee.

What is the difference between a personal and short term loan? keyboard_arrow_down
A Personal Loan is repaid over a maximum term of 72 months and a maximum amount of R250,000. A Short Term loan is repaid over a maximum of 6 months and a maximum amount of R8,000. A Short Term loan is commonly known as a Pay Day loan and lenders often require you to repay the loan on the day of your next pay cheque.

What if I am Blacklisted? keyboard_arrow_down
Being blacklisted does not necessarily prevent you from being able to access a loan. Some lenders do accept blacklisted clients. It will just take a little more time. You will need to shop around for the lenders that are able to assist you.
Can I check my credit score before applying for a loan? keyboard_arrow_down
Yes, and we will cover the cost of the credit check for you - if you go through our credit check portal. It is a good idea to check your credit score before applying for a loan. You will then be able to see how the lender will view your profile. Please note, this is a coming soon feature!
